As one of the leading grocery retailers in Ireland, Dunnes continually strive to improve their operational efficiencies and reduce their cost base. It is with this in mind that Dunnes now require all of their suppliers to be 100% EDI and 100% price matched.
With effect from 1st March 2009, all Dunnes suppliers must meet Dunnes requirement to send all invoices, credits and despatch advice documents electronically. In addition, suppliers will be required to compare their prices with Dunnes prices online on a regular basis in order to ensure a perfect match.
This should mean considerably less mismatched invoices for Dunnes or delays in payment for the supplier due to inaccurately priced invoices and credits.
In order to provide a flexible, secure, low cost solution which will suit all suppliers, Dunnes have partnered with Atlas Products Ireland to develop and deploy a simple WEB based solution - DunnesEDILink.com.
From the 1st March 2009, this website will be available to suppliers to either upload or type in their invoices, credits and despatch advice notes for a much lower cost than traditional EDI systems. Suppliers will also be able to upload or key in their price catalogue information where it will be matched against the Dunnes cost cards.
